ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Almaty has screened a documentary "To be or not to be" which leading role has been played by a wheelchair-bound Tahir Umarov with cerebral palsy, "Express K" newspaper reports.
With the help of speech therapists and psychologists the young man managed to say a complex monologue of the Prince of Denmark and show the life of a disabled person, who, in spite of the daily struggle for existence, still chooses ‘to be'. Tahir is 21 years old. Five years ago, his mother - the closest person for him passed away. And since that time the guy every day proves to himself and others that he is able to independently cope with everyday chores. The movie shows how he brushes his teeth with disobedient hands, crawls to a bathroom on his knees, fries eggs, pours tea and lifts dumbbells to tone up weak muscles. Documentary footage interspersed with artistic accents. Tahir comes out as Hamlet. Tahir dreamed to become an actor. He proved that human capabilities are endless, said the film director Aziz Zairov.
