Central Election Commission ready to provide all information and materials to OSCE/ODIHR

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Central Election Commission is ready to provide all the necessary information and materials to the OSCE/ODIHR for their effective work, Head of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan Kuandyk Turgankulov said during the meeting with members of the OSCE/ODIHR mission Richard Lappin and Radivoe Gruic, the press service of the commission informs.

K. Turgankulov familiarized international experts with the work of the Central Election Commission aimed at preparation and holding of the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan on April 26, 2015. He informed the experts about the legal framework of the elections, the terms of the main stages of the campaign, its information support and support of the candidates.

Besides, K. Turgankulov told about the work on fulfillment of the recommendations of the OSCE/ODIHR and systematic improvement of the elections legislation in Kazakhstan, which now meets almost all international standards.

At the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues regarding the election process and the terms of collection of signatures supporting the candidates, new standards of the linguistic commission, work of the Central Election Commission on training of the organizers of the elections, provision of all the necessary materials, the mass media activity, etc.

K. Turgankulov also assures the international experts that the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan was open for cooperation in terms of any issues and aspects of the election process and ready to provide all the necessary information and materials to the OSCE/ODIHR for their effective work.
