Central Asian Women's Dialogue Forum to be held in Bishkek

From October 3 to 4, the capital of Kyrgyzstan will host the Central Asian Women’s Dialogue Forum, KABAR reports citing the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament.

The purpose of the event is to strengthen regional cooperation for the implementation of the agenda “Women, Peace and Security” and strengthening peace and security in the Central Asian region.

Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, parliamentarians from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, representatives of international organizations, diplomatic corps, civil sector and others will attend the event.

The forum will present a high-level dialog platform to review the contribution and participation of women in strengthening peace and regional cooperation, plans to develop measures to ensure women's involvement in climate change adaptation processes as a basis for regional security and a common vision and recommendations on meaningful participation of women in strengthening peace, cooperation and sustainable development in the region.
