Central Asian students to travel to Vienna for study tour
ASTANA. KAZINFORM Six students from the five Central Asian countries, who participated in the 2014 Central Asian Youth Network (CAYN) seminar, will travel to Vienna, Austria, for an OSCE study tour organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana with the support of other OSCE field offices in the region and OSCE Secretariat's Conflict Prevention Centre.
During the visit on November 6-7 they will meet officials from the OSCE Secretariat and Institutions, and familiarize themselves with the OSCE, its structure and work. They will learn about the organization's activities and current security issues addressed by the OSCE.
Alumni will attend a Permanent Council session, meet with representatives of OSCE delegations and receive briefings by OSCE staff members. This trip is part of the OSCE's efforts to enhance young people's understanding of contemporary security threats and the OSCE's role in addressing them, the OSCE Centre in Astana said.
