Central Asia, Russia, China conduct 11 joint anti-drug trafficing operations
ASTANA. July 30. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ - Since early 2009 the special services of Central Asian countries, Russia and China have carried through eleven joint operations, German Didenko, Chief of the Department on fight against international drug business informed today at a briefing.
As a result of the joint operation the drug supply channels passing through Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to the Russian cities of Omsk, Kazan, Novosibirsk and Samara have been successfully liquidated.
According to the National Security Committee, jointly with the Federal Security Service of Russia two citizens of Tajikistan were detained in the course of a 'controlled supply' from Kazakhstan to Tatarstan.
Another operation of 'controlled supply' from Taldykorgan to Novosibirsk revealed drug traffic organizers - two Russian citizens.
The joint operation with Kyrgystan allowed to terminate the Afghan opiates supply. As a result the traffic organizer, a Kyrgyz citizen possessing fourteen kilograms of heroin was detained in Petropavlovsk.
