Center of Metallurgy to be established in East Kazakhstan: President
ASTANA. June 30. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ "Center of Metallurgy will be established in East Kazakhstan region. It will be engaged in development of the domestic science, industrial introduction of advanced technologies", Head of the State N.Nazarbayev said at the opening of first Kazakhstan International Congress on Mineral Resources and Metallurgy.
According to President, development of innovations and new technologies are of special importance today. "We should continue developing the scientific-technical base of the metallurgy sector. In this regard, the Center of Metallurgy will be established in East Kazakhstan region within the Program of Forced Industrial-innovative Development of Kazakhstan. It will be engaged in technological modernization of enterprises of the sector, development of the domestic science and technology, industrial introduction of high-technologies", N.Nazarbayev noted.
The President expressed assurance that the New University of Astana and its centers of engineering and energy will contribute to this work and generate innovative ideas for the metallurgy center.
