Celebration of 550th anniversary of Kazakh khanate important event - Ayagan

"This conference is held under the aegis of the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Celebration of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate is one of the most important events this year. Foreign experts who study history of the khanate were invited to attend the conference," director of the History Institute of the Committee for Science under the Ministry of Education and Science Burkitbai Ayagan told a press conference on Saturday. In his words, participants of the conference have already discussed unknown facts in the Kazakh history. "On Day 2 of the conference we will visit the State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the monument to Kerei khan and Zhanibel khan," he said. Head of the Programs, Projects and Communications Department of the Fund of the First President Pavel Kazantsev added that the conference is the first project among other events planned to mark the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate. He also stressed that it is a pleasure to learn that historians from Russian, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Italy study and know the history of Kazakhstan.
