Celebrating the 15th year of Kazakhstan’s Constitution

In 2010 Kazakhstan will celebrate the 15th year of its Constitution. The Kazakh Union of Composers is marking the event by organizing a concert with the Israel Chamber Orchestra for devotees of world music. The Orchestra, conducted by Benjamin Yusupov, will perform works by some of Kazakhstan's leading composers.

The Turan Ensemble will also perform, playing both traditional Kazakh music and works by contemporary composers in the traditional style, on traditional Kazakh instruments.

An exhibition of Kazakh culture is simultaneously being held in the Museum's foyer, enabling visitors to experience the riches of Kazakh customs and lifestyles, including the basic elements of the traditional nomadic dwelling, the yurta.

The event will take place on Thursday April 8, 2010 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Recanati Hall, Kazakh Embassy in Israel informs.
