Career advancement must be based on meritocracy - Kazakh President
ASTANA. June 12. KAZINFORM Today Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Head of Kazakhstan Agency for Civil Service Affairs Alikhan Baymenov.
A. Baymenov stressed that Kazakhstan's civil service model that was highly estimated by the international experts is on the verge of serious reforms. They are based on the President's instructions aimed at strengthening the fight against corruption, providing high corporate culture in the state bodies and developing aspiration to serving the people among civil servants.
The Kazakh President emphasized the necessity of the objectiveness and transparency in the selection of candidates. Career advancement should be based on the principles of meritocracy.
N. Nazarbayev gave instructions to submit for consideration the draft regulatory standards strengthening the managers' responsibility for the corruption crimes committed by their employees.
