Canadian puckster to help Kazakhstan's team at 2014 IIHF World Championship
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Official roster of Kazakhstan's national hockey team has been revealed 28 days ahead of the start of the 2014 Men's World Ice Hockey Championship, Kazinform refers to Vesti.kz.
Sixteen teams from all parts of the world are expected to descend on the capital of Belarus - Minsk for the IIHF World Championship this year on May 9-25.
It was announced that injured goalie of HC Yugra Alexey Kuznetsov and forward of HC Kazzinc Torpedo Alexander Shin will be unable to help our team. Vitaly Kolesnik, the goalkeeper of HC Lokomotiv, and Alexander Lipin, the defender of HC Yertis, will join Kazakhstan's hockey players after their respective clubs will wrap up this season. In addition, HC Barys forward Nikolay Antropov and SKA defenseman Kevin Dallman, who previously captained Astana's Barys hockey club, were added to the roster. Kazakhstan will take on Germany's team in their first IIHF match in Minsk.
