Campaign for delivery of illegally stored weapons extended to the end of November

ASTANA. November 3. KAZINFORM - Metropolitan campaign for buyout of illegally stored fire arms, weapons and explosives has been extended to November 30 of the current year, astana.kz informs.

“Since the start of the campaign residents of the city have delivered 66 units of weapons, including 12 units of rifled weapons, 50 smooth-bore guns, 1 gas traumatic weapon, and 3 227 ammunition rounds for rifled weapons”, - it is reported in the message.

According to the agency, monetary reward for the sum of over 1 mln 220 thousand tenge has been paid to citizens who delivered illegally stored weapons.

“Monetary funds for the sum of 10-100 MCI will be paid to people voluntarily delivering weapons for each weapon unit depending on its type during the campaign”, - notes the press service of the DIA.

In addition, people who deliver unregistered weapons voluntarily are released from bringing to criminal or administrative responsibility.

Let us recall, that the campaign for buyout of illegally stored fire arms, weapons and explosives started in Astana on September 1 of the current year.
