Cabinet to develop two scenarios of economic development

ASTANA.  July 21. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Prime Minister Karim Massimov charged the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning to develop two scenarios of world economic development and its impact on Kazakhstan.

"The first scenario must be developed with consideration of the current situation, oil prices within USD 60 per barrel. As for the second scenario, next wave of the crisis must be taken into account, i.e. oil prices fall, destabilization of economies of large trade partners", K. Massimov said. 

"We should have two scenarios to get ready for any situation", the Premier said at the Cabinet' session. 

The PM also pointed at positive dynamics in the country's economy observed in the 2nd q of 2009. According to the Kazakh Statistics Agency in the 2nd q growth made 3% against the 1st q. The measures adopted in the 1st q, namely allocation of National Fund's means, anti-crisis program and Road Map's realization gave these positive results.
