Cabinet to approve special plan on business development in Zhanaozen for 2012-2014

ASTANA. January 10. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The Government of Kazakhstan approved a draft resolution on adoption of a special plan on entrepreneurship development in Zhanaozen town, Mangystau region, for 2012-2014.

The document was introduced during the Cabinet's Tuesday meeting by Vice Minister of Economic Development and Trade Marat Kussainov. The draft resolution envisages several measures. First of all, to provide soft loans to entrepreneurs affected by the riots at a rate of 0.1 per cent to replenish current assets.

The second measure is to provide financial support to beginning and current entrepreneurs without branch limitations. It is envisaged to provide businessmen with affordable financing through interest rate subsidies on bank loans, through the guarantee mechanisms due to the placement of funds of the "Damu" Fund in second tier banks, as well as the subsequent crediting of business and the provision of microcredits.

The third measure is to provide service support for beginners and existing entrepreneurs. For this purpose there was opened the center for entrepreneurship development for training and advisory services to the business on the principle of "one window".
