Businessmen to discuss challenges for Kazakhstani economy
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov is set to take part in the extraordinary meeting of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in late January.
Chairman of the Chamber Ablay Myrzakhmetov announced the news at a press conference in Astana on Wednesday. "The extraordinary meeting will convene on January 27," Mr. Myrzakhmetov said. "The meeting is expected to focus on several pressing issues. For instance, sharp drop in oil prices is one of the major challenges for our economy." In his words, utmost attention will be paid to economic situation in Russia that affects trade relations between the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). "Delegates will exchange their views on that and other problems," Myrzakhmetov added. The Prime Minister and other members of the Cabinet were invited to join discussions and give their recommendations to the participants.
