Businesses of Turkic countries may gain access to 341,000 retail outlets in China
The National Association of Cooperatives and Other Forms of Economic Communities of Kazakhstan and the Foreign Trade Chamber of the Turkic Union are set to sign a cooperation agreement, Association President Kazybek Shaikh said on the sidelines of the Economic Integration of Turkic Countries: A Unified Cooperation Platform as a Driver of Economic Development business forum, Qazinform News Agency reports.
Earlier, Kazakhstan signed a deal with the All-China Federation of Cooperatives.
He said China’s Federation is providing Kazakh entrepreneurs with free shelf space in 341,000 stores across China.
He stressed talks are underway to extend these conditions to all Turkic states.
Kazybek Shaikh emphasized Central Asia and Turkic economies are actively building new trade routes and economic ties with China and Turkiye.
Kazakhstan sees itself as a bridge to China and the Asia-Pacific market, while Turkiye is viewed as the gateway to Europe’s largest and most solvent markets.
Shaikh emphasized that the changing global economic architecture requires new forms of trade and industrial cooperation to improve regional prosperity.
Mutual trade between Kazakhstan and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) members has already reached nearly 13 billion US dollars.
Earlier, it was reported that OTS environment ministers had adopted joint declaration at 2nd meeting in Astana.
