Buoyage vessel launched in Tomsk region, Russia (PHOTO)

ASTANA -TOMSK. KAZINFORM - Zhayik buoyage vessel was launched in Tomsk region into the Tom River.

The vessel was built by Samus Shipyard for Atyrau enterprise of waterways.
The launching ceremony took place on October 3. The event has been participated by representatives of Kazakhstan including the Head of Technical Department of "Semey Shipyard" LLP Amir Akhmedzyanov.

"It is a buoyage vessel which will provide navigation on the Ural River. The vessel is designed to serve the floating and coastal waterway signs, as well as to control the depth of the fairway on inland waterways", said the director of "Samus Shipyard" V. Schwartz.
According to him, the construction of "Zhaiyk" was launched December 20, 2013.

He stressed that Kazakhstan is Russia's strategic partner, and the establishment of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space has greatly facilitated the conditions for cooperation.

"At the moment we are constructing another buoyage ship for Semey enterprise of waterways, the delivery of which is scheduled for May 2015", said Schwartz.

Samus Shipyard was founded in 1879. Modernization of the plant's workshops to state of the art was done in 1985-1990s. During the plant's operation there have been built more than 340 vessels of various types and purposes.
