Brussels discussed Kazakhstan's obligations in human rights sphere within OSCE chairmanship

BRUSSELS. April 15. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ Kazakhstan's obligations in human rights sphere within the chairmanship in the OSCE have been discussed at a roundtable in Brussels.

As Director of Media-Net International Center for Journalism Vyacheslav Abramov noted, the representatives of the Kazakh NGOs informed the participants of the discussion of the situation with observance of human rights in Kazakhstan. In particular, they pointed out positive changes in the Kazakhstani society. The participants appreciated Kazakh authorities' readiness to conduct reforms and make amendments to the legislation.

The event which was organized by the Open Society Institute of Brussels together with Soros-Kazakhstan foundation was attended by the representatives of Kazakh and foreign NOGs, the offices of European countries in the EU as well as employees of diplomatic corps of Kazakhstan to the EU.
