British Embassy to hold Remembrance Day Nov 9 in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM In accordance with Commonwealth tradition the British and Canadian Embassies are organising an Act of Remembrance on Sunday, November 9, 2014. This year the Service is of particular relevance as 2014 is the 100th Anniversary of the start of the First World War.
By permission of the Akim, the Service will take place at the Monument to the Defenders of the Fatherland. The Remembrance Service will last approximately 20 minutes and will be conducted by Father Pawel Blok, the official website of the British Embassy Astana reads.
