British Council organized screening of Anarcadia film by R. Maclennan in Almaty
ALMATY. September 2. KAZINFORM British Council orginized today a screening of "Anarcadia", a film by a British artist Ruth Maclennan, and an informal discussion for those who interested in experimental video art at British Council office in Almaty.
British Council, Kazakhstan partnered Film and Video Umbrella, London, to support a British crew, led by Ruth Maclennan, to film in locations around Almaty last summer. Ruth and her director of Photography Bevis Bowden, an experienced cinematographer, delivered seminar-workshops to students, teachers and independent film and video art professionals, where they revealed some of the techniques, inspirations and processes used by video-art makers in the UK," the press service of the British Council in Kazakhstan reports.
