British Council Kazakhstan announces The Spirit Of Nowruz photographic competition

The Spirit of Nowruz has been initiated by the British Council in Iran with participation from Iran, Afghanistan, Georgia, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and the UK. Submitted photographs should reflect the theme of the exhibition - Nowruz - which might include traditional Nowruz customs along with images of the start of Spring, the equinox or new beginnings etc. The winning photographs will be shown at the exhibition space at the British Council's headquarters in London from 2 March to 20 April 2015. Terms and conditions: The application should include the name and contact details of the photographer, an accompanying text describing the idea of each picture and a short story about how it was shot. The text should be in Russian and English and should not exceed 250-300 words. Each participant may submit up to 4 photographs (or a link to sharing services where images can be downloaded) in jpeg format of up to 1MB (each photo), The British Council in Kazakhstan said.
