A halo is an optical phenomenon produced by light interacting with ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. It can have many forms, the experts of the Ionosphere Institute said.

According to astronomers, the halo is frequently spotted over the sky during freezing weather. The most favorable conditions for this beautiful optical phenomenon are the bright sun, high humidity, and freezing temperatures.

As earlier reported, Kazakhstani photographer Dmitry Dotsenko captured a stunning video of the Koktobe TV Tower seemed to be floating in the clouds in December.
