Breivik ‘planned more Oslo attacks’
OSLO. July 29. KAZINFORM Anders Breivik, accused of killing over 70 people in Oslo in two terror attacks last Friday, planned to carry out more attacks on the same day, his lawyer has said. Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
"Breivik planned to carry out a few more attacks on July 22, on a slightly different scale. However, something happened, about which I can't yet speak, and his plans didn't come to anything," lawyer Geir Lippestad told Norway's Aftenposten newspaper.
Breivik has confessed to a bomb attack near the prime minister's office and shootings at a nearby youth camp. He is due to be interrogated for the second time by police today.
He has not, however, accepted criminal responsibility, saying his actions were "atrocious but necessary" measures intended to "save Norway and Western Europe" from a "Muslim takeover." Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru for full version
