Boosting Kazakhstan's Tourism

ASTANA. August 29.KAZINFORM Kazakhstan is attracting more and more tourists and travelers than ever before. The country's abundance of natural scenery is undeniably inviting. And now, the government of Kazakhstan is considering the possibilities of developing the country's infrastructure to attract even more visitors.

Of particular interest is the Schuchye-Burabai area of the Akmola region, which is home to beautiful pine forests and expansive lakes. Realizing the attractiveness of the region, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov paid a visit to the area and participated in a meeting to discuss implementation of infrastructure improvements. At the top of the list is developing transport links to the area to encourage travel from the main cities of Astana and Almaty. Recent advances include the increase in internal flights and a new luxury train service that will run from Astana to the Burabai resort on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the Kazkah Embassy in the U.S. Informed.

As a part of a new endeavor, the tourism sector will be developed all year-round with an aim of creating 550,000 new jobs in the industry that will serve Kazakhstan's booming numbers of tourists that visit each year.
