Book about Abulkhair Khan found in India returns to Kazakhstan

The National Centre of Manuscripts and Rare Books held a scientific seminar on Ancient manuscripts and archival data concerning Central Asia and Kazakhstan at the library holdings in India, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Kazakh Culture and Information Ministry’s press service.

It brought together historians and scientists of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre at the Indian Embassy in Kazakhstan, the scientific research centre of the written monuments and spiritual heritage of the Al Farabi Kazakh National University, and the Gumilev Eurasian National University.

Those present debated putting into circulation historical manuscripts and documents brought to Kazakhstan by the experts of the National Centre of Manuscripts and Rare Books from India as part of the Archives 2025 project, collecting and studying important historical documents about Kazakhstan and Central Asia in India.

The Archives 2025 project opens new opportunities for collecting data concerning the history of the Kazakhs worldwide. The experts of the National Centre of Manuscripts and Rare Books found and brought home copies of many precious documents about the history of Kazakhstan.

Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre handed the copies of the History of Mongols and Tarih-i-Abul Hair Han in Persian discovered at the Patna library holdings in India.
