BOLGAN ANA TOMB

gan Ana tomb is an architectural monument of the XII-XIII centuries in Karaganda region, located 10 km upper from the conflux of the rivers Karagengir and Sarysu, in the Karazhar urochishche.
The legend says the monument was created for Bolgan, the daughter-in-law of Alash-Khan. In 1990 it was researched by the expedition of the Institute of Architecture and Construction led by Y. Baytenov.
The one-chamber tomb made of burnt brick is partially ruined. The height of the remained part is 4.7 meters and is to have the form of rectangle (9,45 х 10,7 m).
Since 1982 the tomb is under state protection.
