Bolashak students contribute a lot to Kazakhstan's development - Sec of State Saudabayev

ASTANA. December 21. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Bolashak students contribute a lot to the socio-economic and industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan. Kazakh Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev said it during the final meeting of the State Commission for Training Specialists Abroad.

"Despite the economic difficulties in the first years of independence, the Kazakh President founded the program "Bolashak", which played an important role in training a new generation of specialists at prestigious foreign universities," Saudabayev emphasized.

During the meeting the Commission considered 389 applications, including 328 for master's program, 2 for PhD program, 59 for internship. Out of them 216 students have been granted Bolashak scholarship. In addition, the Commission approved the list of priority specialties for 2012.
