Body of Denyakin shot dead in USA brought home
KARAGANDA. May 5. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ The body of Kazakhstani Kirill Denyakin who was shot by an American policeman in the city of Portsmouth has been brought to Kazakhstan today.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan to the USA provided assistance in transportation of the body of the Kazakhstani citizen, the Denyakins noted.
'There is no date for the funeral so far. We are waiting for Kirill's mother to return from the United States,' Ivan Denyakin, the father of Kirill, said.
As was earlier reported, 26- year-old K. Denyakin was shot dead by an American policeman who took him for a robber. The experts say there were made eleven shots. In this regard, the Embassy of Kazakhstan to the USA sent a diplomatic note to the US State Department demanding to hold a full investigation.
It is not known yet what kind of responsibility the American policeman will incur. The investigation is underway.
Kirill Denyakin went to the USA six years ago on the Work&Travel program and was working in Renaissance Hotel.
