Bodies from crashed AN-2 plane recovered, arrive home
KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Bodies of the victims of the AN-2 plane crash in Zhambyl region have been retrieved from the crash area, the press service of the Karaganda region governor reports.
The bodies of crewmembers - Valeriy Klyushev, Viktor Savelyev and Vasiliy Litvinov and Kazakhmys employee Gabit Toleubayev were transported to Karaganda city. The bodies of other passengers - Yerbol Ibrayev and Ulbazar Yessmagambetov were transported to Kyzylzhar village and Kyzylorda city respectively. All victims will be laid to rest tomorrow, January 23. Earlier it was reported that the AN-2 plane owned by the Karaganda-based Olymp-Air Company crashed in Zhambyl region on January 20. Only one passenger, Assem Shayakhmetova, survived the fatal crash. According to preliminary data, low visibility is to blame for the horrific crash. A special commission is set to determine the cause of the accident.
