Bishkek hosted the 8th meeting of Secretaries of SCO Security Councils

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the SCO Dmitry Mezentsev and director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Zhang Sinfen.

The heads of delegations were received by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Atambaev.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the strengthening of regional security, stability and the rule of law in the SCO.

Willingness has been expressed to continue to pursue an active and targeted efforts to combat terrorism , separatism and extremism, transnational organized crime, illicit drugs and their precursors, and threats to international security.

The report of the Regional Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO on the activities of the SCO RATS has been listened to.

Following the meeting the protocol has been signed according to the results of the eighth meeting of Secretaries of Security Councils of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Assistant to the President - Secretary of Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.P.Kozhamzharov held a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of the SCO member states, including the member of the State Council of China Guo Shenkunem, the secretary of the Defense Council of the Kyrgyz Republic B.Tabaldiev and the secretary of the Security Council the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev.
