Bill raising taxes on undeveloped land approved in Majilis
ASTANA. October 23. KAZINFORM - The Parliament Majilis at the plenary session has approved the second reading of the draft law named "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of taxation".
The bill envisages increasing tax rates on land that has not been developed for a certain period after they have been granted. There are also rules to implement the concept of a new fiscal policy in terms of strengthening the fiscal function of individual taxes for taxation of luxury goods - excise taxes on tobacco and alcohol, tax on transport and real estate. The bill also includes provisions aimed at improving tax administration.
During the consideration of the bill the Majikis deputies amended the regulations on taxes on personal property and vehicles. In addition, there are a number of amendments made relating to the activities of "Ontustik" and "Saryarka" Free Economic Zones and other issues.
