BIE Secretary General to inspect preparations for EXPO-2017 in Astana
ASTANA. December 28. KAZINFORM Secretary General of the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE) Vincente Loscertales is expected in Astana with a visit in early February 2014 to inspect the preparations for the International specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017", Kazinform correspondent was told by the Head of the Preparations Office, Bauyrzhan Zhanseitov.
"According to the BIE regulations, it inspects the preparation process in Kazakhstan and other EXPO host countries. And the February visit of Mr. Loscertales to Astana is part of that monitoring process. We will familiarize him with the preparations for the EXPO event in the Kazakh capital. Fortunately, everything proceeds as planned," Mr. Zhanseitov said.
He also reminded that Kazakhstan's Registration dossier had been submitted on time. Currently, JSC "NC "Astana EXPO-2017" prepares the estimate documentation of the EXPO-town in Astana. It is believed to be completed by March 2014.
"Kazakhstan will officially receive the colors of the exhibition in June 2014," he added. It gives the host countries the right to hold the EXPO event.
