Berlin welcomes Kazakh history, culture and arts

BERLIN. April 10. KAZINFORM An event celebrating the history, culture and arts of Kazakhstan took place in Berlin. The screening of Ilyas Yesenberlin's trilogy "Nomads" in German was held during the reception arranged by Kazakhstan's embassy in Germany.

"Willkommen in Berlin" event generated intense public interest and brought together about 100 people.

In his speech of welcome, Kazakh Ambassador to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov touched upon the rich history and beautiful culture of Kazakhstan.

In his words, in ancient times Kazakhstan bridged West and East, playing an important role on the Great Silk Road. "We want to revive its historical role and become the largest business and transit hub in the region," said the Kazakh diplomat.

At the end of the reception all the guests enjoyed traditional Kazakh delicacies.
