Berik Abdygaliuyl named acting director of Kazakh National Museum
Berik Abdygaliuyl has been appointed as the acting director of the National Museum of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the country’s Ministry of Culture and Information.
Born in 1971, Berik Abdygaliuyl graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Throughout different years, he worked at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the Kazakh President.
In 2010 and 2013, Abdygaliuyl acted as the governor of Ulytau district, mayor of Zhezkazgan city, Arkalyk town as well as the deputy governor of Karaganda region.
In 2016, he was a chief scientific officer at the Military History Museum of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
In 2017 and 2019, he worked as the head of the Sacred Kazakhstan research center of the National Museum of Kazakhstan.
In 2019 and 2021, he served as the governor of Ulytau district, Karaganda region.
In 2021 and 2022, he was the deputy of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament.
In 2022 and 2024, he held the post of the governor of Ulytau region.
