Belarusian language, culture center to open in Astana
ASTANA. November 10. KAZINFORM A center for language and culture studies of Belarus will be opened under the aegis of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University in Astana, Kazakhstan on 9 November.
The university's press service said after the second session of the working commission on coordinating the operation of a research and education consortium, the center will help enhance and advance mutual understanding and friendship between Belarusian and Kazakh students.
It was also noted that it will help students adapt to education and accommodation conditions in Belarus or in Kazakhstan. The center will also further cooperation in education, interaction between public organizations, popularization of Kazakh and Belarusian culture, development of scientific and creative potential of Kazakh and Belarusian students, said the press service.
A center for Kazakh language, history, and culture studies was opened under the aegis of the Belarusian National Technical University in Minsk in May 2012.
