Belarus to partake in international military maneuvers in Kazakhstan
MINSK. October 5. KAZINFORM Belarusian paratroopers are expected to take part in the CSTO joint peacekeeping exercise Indestructible Brotherhood 2012, BelTA learnt from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
The maneuvers scheduled for 8-17 October will take place at the firing ranges Iliysky, Shoshkala, and Bereg, Kazakhstan. Belarus will be presented at the exercise by a peacekeeping platoon of the 103rd separate guards mobile special-operations forces, BelTA reports.
"The exercise will drill the issues related to dealing with conflicting parties, control over the terms of truce, escort of the humanitarian aid and its protection from terror attacks," the ministry said.
Partaking in the war-game will be more than 1,000 military from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
