Belarus intends to partake in EXPO-2017 infrastructure projects

ASTANA. July 13. KAZINFORM - Belarus intends to participate in infrastructure development projects in Astana during the preparation for EXPO-2017, BELTA was informed by Oleg Morozov, the charge d'affaires of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to his words, the Kazakh side showed great interest in use of the Belarusian experience in various fields including construction industry, agriculture and tourism. "In particular, Kazakhstan already applies in practice our achievements in implementation of construction projects. We are in talks to create a joint venture for building materials production", said Oleg Morozov.

In turn, Belarus would actively participate in Astana infrastructure enhancement within the preparation for EXPO 2017. "Only first steps are being made in Kazakhstan in terms of the work organization. Recently there has been established the national company, responsible persons have been appointed, who will coordinate the work" , said the diplomat.

Oleg Morozov believes that Belarus can implement in Kazakhstan "point pilot project which would become the hallmark of Belarusian technologies, knowledge, experience, system solutions so to make it possible to spread this experience to other regions of the country".

In addition, the Kazakh side has repeatedly stated its readiness to deploy at the Belarusian background in construction of agricultural towns and on the whole policy of regional development.

In Kazakhstan this year has been adopted "Agribusiness - 2020" program. This system is a comprehensive document with indicative figures which should go to agricultural sector in 2020. It brings together key mechanisms and measures of state support for agricultural development and reflects measures for infrastructure growth.
