Beijing to hold CICA meetings Oct 27-29 - Kazakh MFA
ASTANA. October 26. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Meetings of the Ad Hoc Working Group and Senior Officials' Committee of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) are to be held in Beijing on October 27-29.
Kazakh MFA's spokesman Ilyas Omarov has made it public at the briefing in Astana.
According to him, 20 CICA member-states will take part in the meetings. It is planned to discuss further elaboration of the CICA Convention on the Privileges and Immunities, consider conceptions and action plans on cooperation of the CICA member-states in the sphere of energy and information security, and the issues of holding the third summit of the CICA.
"Besides, it is expected to discuss a complex of measures in the military-political, economic spheres, which are called to strengthen security and confidence at the Asian continent", I.Omarov noted.
