Bashkortostan intends to intensify trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan

In the total volume of foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan Kazakhstan ranks 16th place with a weight of less than 1.5%, and among the CIS countries - 4th place. The volume of exports of goods exceeds the Bashkir share of imports from Kazakhstan. The export structure is dominated by mineral and chemical products, machinery and equipment from Kazakhstan, mainly imported metal.
"We should be more active to deepen and expand cooperation in several areas, and areas of cooperation", said S.Sagitov. "Today we are interested in Atyrau enterprises, Karachaganak fields, specific and important projects. "
According to the vice-premier Bashkortostan is willing to share its experience in a number of promising industries. The republic has cutting-edge developments in the field of refining and petrochemicals. In turn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Russia Galim Orazbakov stressed the importance of developing trade and economic relations with the regions of Kazakhstan. It is noted that of particular interest for Kazakhstan is the experience of Bashkortostan on innovation and the development of regional clusters, in particular in the field of aviation, engineering, petrochemical, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
The sides agreed to develop business contacts on mutual interest to the projects. It is emphasized that the republic has a significant field to increase the effective economic cooperation.
