Barys loses, Avangard advances

It was the longest series of the first round of this play-off so far. No game was a disappointment in terms of action and interesting moment, but one had to prevail. This time, it was Avangard from Omsk.

However, the game began better for Barys. The team from Astana scored first, Nigel Dawes was the author of the goal, but less than five minutes Avangard needed to even the score with help of Chad Kolarik.

Thus, the teams were tied after the first period and were ready begin everything anew in the second. In the second period, Alexander Perezhogin scored from an acute angle for Avangard and no more scoring happened in the second period.

The third period was obviously critical for both teams, thus both teams played carefully but certainly trying being aware of the moment. However, the better or maybe event the luckier team in this matchup was Avangard as Chad Kolarik managed to score again for the hockey club from Omsk ensuring their victory and forcing Barys' early exit.
