Ballot station opened in Beijing
BEIJING. April 3. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ A polling station #135 for the Kazakhstanis, who reside in the capital of China, has been opened today at 7:00 am local time in the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Beijing.
Immediately after the opening of the polling station Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China Ikram Adyrbekov with his wife, diplomats of the embassy and representatives of national companies, temporarily residing in Beijing cast their votes.
The first preliminary results at this polling station will be summed up by 1:00 a.m. April 4. Ballot boxes from Shanghai and Hong Kong will also be unsealed in Beijing. Counting of votes will start at 10:00 p.m., following which a protocol will be sent to the Central Election Commission.
As the press service of the Kazakh Embassy to China informs, the voter turnout at this election will be significantly higher than in 2005 (450 Kazakhstani citizens residing in China voted then).
