Baku will host International Banking Conference of CIS
BAKU. November 8. KAZINFORM - Financial and Banking Council (FBC) of the Commonwealth of Independent States has announced the date for the VI Baku International Banking Conference of CIS member states, which will be held on November 14-17 this year.
The conference is organized with the support of FBC International Bank of Azerbaijan, CIS Executive Committee and the National Bank Club.
The conference theme this year is "The financial markets of the CIS is the basis of economic integration in the Commonwealth". The business program of the conference is to address issues of increasing reserves for growth of financial institutions in the face of a slowing growth in the CIS economies, enhancing investment attractiveness of the financial sector of the CIS, new trends in retail banking, as well as other relevant matters.
Sessions and special "round tables" will take into consideration the topics such as the benefits of financial integration - the example of the CIS, the UES (unified economic space), the EU, the trend of retail lending in CIS countries; reserves of increasing the stability of the financial markets of the CIS in the context of the ongoing global economic crisis, threats and drivers of growth in the retail loan portfolio under growing competition and rising risks, the full involvement of banking turnover of unorganized savings (including through the formation of long-term housing savings deposits), the development of interstate economic cooperation between the Caspian states, mechanisms of financing of investment projects and the creation of conditions for resource potential of the Caspian region, the profitability of banking products as the product quality of the staff of financial institutions, the introduction of international standards for qualification of personnel, and labor market of financial institutions in the CIS countries - trends and forecasts.
The upcoming conference will be attended by representatives of governments and ministries of the CIS member states, international development institutions, as well as heads of national (central) and the largest banks in the CIS , Europe and Asia. Information support will be given by the mainstream media of the Commonwealth.
