Baku declaration of TurkPA adopted
BAKU. September 29. KAZINFORM /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ Participants of the first plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries adopted a Declaration on the results of the sitting.
According to the Declaration cooperation within the TurkPA is an important tool in deepening relations of the countries in political, economic, cultural and others spheres and bringing the Turkic-speaking nations together.
With the help of a new stage of inter-parliamentary cooperation - parliamentary diplomacy - the TurkPA intends to promote political dialogue among the countries for creation of favorable political space in order to develop and implement different initiatives to make the region more secure and prosperous, the document reads.
The annual budget of the TurkPA will make EUR 300, 000; it consists of 15 parts. Besides, the parliamentarians discussed the Charter of the TurkPA and rules of reelection of the Secretary General who will be elected to the post once for four years.
The Secretariat of the TurkPA will be located in Baku.
