Baiterek Holding to channel 8 trillion tenge into new projects in 2025

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin revealed that the Government will allocate 1 trillion tenge to Baiterek Holding for the development of the economy at the March 4 Cabinet meeting, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Zhumangarin noted that the Government plans to significantly increase financing for the real economy sector in the current and coming years.

"In particular, the Government will increase Baiterek Holding’s capital by 1 trillion tenge in 2025, which will enable the holding to finance projects worth 8 trillion tenge in 2025. Investments will be directed towards creating new projects in the country, which will lead to an increase in production capacities in the manufacturing industry and the creation of new high-performance jobs," Serik Zhumangarin said during the Government meeting.

He explained that Baiterek’s support for businesses will not only involve increasing funding volumes but also implementing new tools.

As reported earlier, Baiterek Holding's agricultural financing reached 640 billion tenge in the first 10 months of 2024, which is a 15.4% increase compared to 2023.
