Baiterek charitable foundation lends helping hand to children with disabilities
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Families raising children with disabilities received money certificates from the Astana city administration.
According to Alma Altybayeva, head of employment and social programs department of the administration, it was the Baiterek charitable foundation that provided financial assistance to the families. "The foundation conducts fund-raising campaigns twice a year - after the Astana's Day and the New Year's Ball. Money raised during those events help cover expenses on treatment of children with disabilities," Ms Altybayeva said. In her words, 96 children received certificates worth of KZT 103 million since 2008. "This wonderful tradition will be continued in the future and we express profound gratitude to all people who participated in the charitable campaigns," she added.
