Baikonur forum delegates enjoyed Soyuz 2.1a launch
BAIKONYR. KAZINFORM The on-site meeting of the IV Investment Forum Baikonur held Wednesday was devoted to the new investment opportunities of the Kyzylorda region within the Eurasian Economic Union.
The first part of the fourm was held at the launching pad so the forum participants witnessed the Soyuz 2.1a successful launch. Addressing those gathered Economy and Fiscal Policy Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Timur Suleimenov thanked Roscosmos and the city administration for the opportunity afforded to visit the space centre and observe the space launching. As is known, it is planned to develop tourist infrastructure, including Baikonur complex within the frame of EXPO 2017. Taking the floor at the forum, governor of the region Krymbek Kusherbayev expressed gratitude to the Eurasian Economic Commission Board for support in organizing and expressed confidence that the forum would become another step in lifting administrative barriers for doing business in the region. Besides, the delegates visited the international pilgrimage centre at the Korkyt Ata memorial complex.
