B. Zhumagulov visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The Minister familiarized with a new building of a mechanics and mathematics faculty.

Besides, the Minister met with the personnel of the University and its students. They discussed the issues of further modernization of education in Kazakhstan. In particular, B. Zhumagulov touched upon the problems of training and raising high quality specialists in this sphere and on increasing the status of a teacher.

'Current skills development system is already obsolete. It is not effective. It does not meet the world standards,' the Minister said.

'The leading universities of the state including the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University should become scientifically-educational, innovative and research centers. They have to be guided by the example of the Nazarbayev University,' he added.
