Azimbek Pazylbekuly named as new akim of Turkistan

By the instruction of the akim of the Turkistan region Darkhan Satybaldy, Azimbek Pazylbekuly has been appointed as a new akim of Turkistan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Darkhan Satybaldy introduced Azimbek Pazylbekuly to the staff of the city administration and highlighted the significant responsibilities the new mayor faces. The new akim is tasked with developing the city, increasing its tourist and economic potential, and turning Turkistan into the center of the Turkic world.

Azimbek Pazylbekuly was born in Zhanakorgan district of the Kyzylorda region in 1991.

He holds degrees from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University and Bolashak University in the field of state and local administration, economics, construction and law.

He commenced his professional career in 2013, assuming a senior role within the department of internal policy of Kyzylorda.

In 2015, he worked as chief inspector of the organizational and inspection department of the akim’s office of Kyzylorda. He also held the position of expert and senior expert at the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan in the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

He also served as chief expert and head of department at the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan.

He led departments within the Ministry of Investment and Development as well as the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2023 to the present, he has served as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
