Seventeen rail tank cars carrying a total of 1,000 tons of diesel fuel were sent to Armenia on Sunday.

A separate transit shipment from Russia to Armenia also passed through Azerbaijan. Eighteen rail wagons loaded with 1,260 tons of grain departed from Azerbaijan Railways’ Balajari station for the Boyuk Kesik station.

Fuel exports to Armenia began on December 18, 2025, when Azerbaijan delivered 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline.

Transit traffic on this route resumed after restrictions on the movement of goods between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which had been imposed amid the longstanding conflict between the two countries, were lifted under a decision signed by President Ilham Aliyev in October 2025.

Earlier, it was reported Azerbaijan's industrial production increases in the five months of 2026.
