Azerbaijan plans establishing logistics centers in Kazakhstan
BAKU. April 18. KAZINFORM Azerbaijan is planning to open logistics centers in Kazakhstan, was reported yesterdayby Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development at Azerbaijani-Kazakh business forum in Baku.
"The President of Azerbaijan has set the task regarding the expansion of foreign economic relations and in this regard it has been decided to establish logistics centers in other countries. It is assumed that the creation of such centers in Kazakhstan will boost trade and economic ties between the two countries", stated Safarov.
According to him there has been created a multifunctional base in purpose of bilateral relations development. At the intergovernmental commission meetings which are of regular basis, an issue of bilateral cooperation including the optimization of trade and economic collaboration has been discussed. Business forums have been conducted both in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan contributing the effective cooperation between the business communities of the states.
"Today Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have well-developed legal framework in the field of economic relations, i.e. more than 20 agreements on the investment protection have been signed, on the double taxation avoidance and a number of other contracts that have a positive impact on the development of our trade cooperation", said the Azerbaijan Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
"At present more than 30 companies are functioning in Azerbaijan with Kazakh capital. Our entrepreneurs are interested in Kazakhstan market. Economic ties that have been established in the last 20 years since Independence time let us say that there is a large and untapped potential for further expansion and deepening of trade and economic relations", said Safarov.
"Azerbaijan supports the economic and trade relations with over 150 countries and Kazakhstan cooperation expand is of high importance. Our state is actively tuned to the development of cooperation with your country and focused on concrete measures in this regard and we also found support from the Kazakh side. We are just to make an effort defining the priorities for their implementation ", concluded Niyazi Safarov.
