AYAKKAMYRA MAUSOLEUM
kkamyra Mausoleum is an architectural monument of the XII century. The mausoleum is situated at the 9 km to North-South from Zhezdy village of Ulytau municipality in Karaganda region.
The Mausoleum is a dome construction having a four-sided form which stone fundament was raised up to 1 m. The mausoleum has entrance doors and four walls with blurred traceries in the form of the half-moon. A deep recess covered by a lancet arch and framed with a recessed flat-topped strip is placed in the center of the main front elevation.
There is a square door behind the arch. The mausoleum is ornamented by relieved pillars. According to external signs and techniques of construction Ayakkamyra Mausoleum can be referred to constructions of IX-XI centuries.
Further progressive development of architecture in Kazakhstan was based on the style of the volume composition of the building, sub-dome constructions as well as architectural forms and decorative means of XI-XII centuries.
